I found a song today that I've been looking for since 1983. I never knew who recorded it, but I kind of thought it was Vangelis because of the accompanying instrumentation. I was wrong. It's by Louise Tucker and Charlie Skarbek and it's based on a Sonata (but I forget the composer...drat). I heard the Sonata in an old Herbert Lom movie I was watching and it triggered the memory of the lyrics of "Midnight Blue," which is how I found the song online. I downloaded it from iTunes and found the video on You Tube. Another piece of my personal history falls neatly into place.

I found it!

It's Beethoven. I was fascinated by the idea of the song and this article mentions that it has turned up in many, many places.

Beethoven! I thought it had his signature, but I'm not as sure of myself in that department as I used to be. Poo. Thank you so much!
