The dogs woke me up at 8 on the dot demanding breakfast. Since tomorrow is a work day, I am loathe to return to bed, so here I am on the Internet until it's a decent time to call Llew.

He's wanting to come over today, despite my being ill. He seems to think that I am no longer contagious and I'm probably not; however, I'm a bit iffy on taking the chance of giving him this skank. I'll probably call him around 11 and see if he's still wanting to visit. I have no idea what we could do to pass our time, though. I don't feel like doing anything really but lying about and trying to sleep away my infection.

After I fed the dogs, I turned on the television to find a documentary on the making of The Lord of the Rings. Even after watching the first two movies over the past couple of days, I still thrill at the vision of Peter Jackson. I would go see Return of the King again, were it not for two major obstacles: 1) I don't feel like moving from one room to another, much less driving to the Hollywood20 and 2) I have no fundage to pay for entry into the theater, especially since my lung skank has cost me a good $160 in doctor's bills, medicine, and lost wages. UGH!!!

Now I've got the blues. A certain LJ pal sent me something via email that is sure to cheer me up for a very long time, though, so it all balances out. Whee!

I'm wondering if Aunt Tudi needs to have her meds adjusted. She's been acting unsatisfied and cranky now for a good two weeks. I've noticed falling into old patterns of treading lightly and watching what I say around her. I can't imagine going back to where we were two years ago.....no I won't go back, I can't! When the time is right, I'm going to broach the subject that she talk to Dr. Hold about adjusting the meds. I know that anti-depressants have to be adjusted sometimes, so hopefully that's all we need to do to get back to normal....whatever that is.

Llew said he was coming over later, after he paid some bills and took care of some other responsibilities. It'll be nice to see him again ~ it always is.

My voice has come back some. At least I'll be able to function for the most part at work tomorrow. I wonder how angry they are at Telesuck for my having to bail on them this weekend? It's the first time I've been out since I went back to work for them so surely they aren't too bent out of shape. I'm pretty stressed at losing all that money, but there's nothing I could have done. Having the plague blows chunks! I should call Steph, but I really need to save what voice I have for tomorrow's work day. Maybe we can catch up in the morning.

National Lampoon's Vacation is on TV right now. For the first time ever, this movie looks dated to me. It's hard to believe that the original Wally World came from this movie and has nothing whatsoever to do with Wal-Mart. Everyone I know calls Wal-Mart Wally World now.

Our pipes gurgle every time we do a load of washing now. At first, I thought it may have been a partial clog somewhere, so I've poured liquid plumr down every pipe I can, but still we have this gurgle. Aunt Tudi is warning that we may need a plumber but, since plumbers seem to make more on the hour than doctors, I'm rather loathe to have to do that. I really can't afford a bloody plumber. What a dump this house is.

On Monday, I'm hoping that the insurance lady will call me so we can get this claim show on the road. It's been over a week since I was hoping we could start this so, needless to say, I'm more than a little freaked out. So, I made a poll. What do you think?

Mucho welcomes to [livejournal.com profile] _willowmyst, [livejournal.com profile] inkfiend, and [livejournal.com profile] ssj3_priest.

Dunno what I did to deserve being friended by so many folks so quickly, but I think it's damned groovy. I look forward to reading your ponderings.

After some special time alone, Llew and I are spending some quiet moments in the living room. He's watching the History Channel and I'm surfing the 'Net. I just got an email from SC-Lock about a special Valentines Day function in Atlanta. We bantered briefly about going, but I really doubt that we will. You never know, though.....

Aunt Tudi will be joining us at 9 to watch Law and Order: CI, then it's off to bed.

Boring? Perhaps...
Peaceful? Most definitely! And it's just what this high-strung ball of nerves needs.
