Too Clever for My Own Damned Good

I try not to be narcissistic but, sometimes, I fail miserably. My own cleverness in my latest Joker fic has me bubbling with over-inflated glee. I can't help it, I just think it's spiff in the spiffiest way. To set this up, I try to make a Heath Ledger reference or give Heath a nod in each Joker fic I write. Some are obvious (like the Joker not wanting to be called 'Heathcliff' by the professor) and some are really enigmatic (like the Joker 'roaring' during his time with Annie). This Heath nod is as "in-your-face" as an acknowledgment can be and I think it's pretty bloody clever and amusing. I could be wrong, but I'm enjoying tooting my own horn here, so indulge me just this once. K? K.
