Potassium and Plague Update

In an attempt to keep her out of the hospital, Dr. Ebrahim has given Aunt Tudi Kayexalate to get her body's potassium levels down. She had to drink a bottle of the nasty gunk today and she has another to drink tomorrow. She then has to go back to Dr. Ebrahim on Monday to have more lab work done to see if it worked. If not, there's a good chance Aunt Tudi will end up in the hospital to get her levels down and be monitored whilst doing so. Here's hoping this works.

We're still sick, Aunt Tudi not as much as I am. I'm dealing with nausea along with the cold. Since I have no appetite, I'm horking up bile in lieu of food, drink, Pac Man power pellets, etc. In the past couple of hours, though, I have been able to successfully keep down a banana and some water, so that's my accomplishment for the day. I was planning on calling Angela at Mr. Pilzer's office to give her an update on my doctor visits, but she called me today instead. I apologised for sounding like Satan and told her I had laryngitis due to illness. Whatever this thing is, I hate it.

Gifts of Music

Andy just wrote asking me if I wanted to accompany him to a Tears for Fears concert on 27 August. Since I was the one who introduced him to TFF and we've shared a very high opinion of the band for decades, my answer was a resounding and enthusiastic YES! I can't wait to hang out with Andy again too. It's always too long in between times of getting to see him.
