Tuesday Ponderings

Well, I was on vacation yesterday and had severely limited Internet access...I must get the modem in my laptop replaced...arrrrrrrgh!
Aunt Tudi and I went to the therapist yesterday. He's a great bear of a man, mysteriously attached to a wheelchair, but it doesn't seem to distress him so it doesn't distress me. The oddest thing, though: he has a giant Triskele print on the wall in his office hall. It's absolutely lovely and set me right at ease for, where there are Triskeles, yours truly is at home.
Things went very well with the therapist and Aunt Tudi is committed to talking to her doctor about a prescription for Effexor. We go back to the therapist for a follow-up in late July ~ then, after that, it's up to solely me again. I think things will be OK.
Going back in time a little bit, Saturday and Sunday were both rousing successes. Llew returned to the domicile and he and Aunt Tudi decided to start over from the very beginning ~ Tabula Rasa, as 't'were. Both were very gracious and a good time was had by all. This was Saturday.
On Sunday we all piled into the Robula (named for Rob Zombie and his 'Dragula' ~ the first song played in my car after I purchased it) with my pal Steph, and went to see Star Wars EP2. I hadn't seen it yet and was rather excited. Imagine my disappointment at having finally seen the movie. It's got to be the worst of the series, story-wise. But the effects are unbe-fucking-lievable! I loved the inhabitants of Camino ~ graceful and lovely creatures they were.
Speaking of the Robula, I had to get the gal serviced yesterday. Now, the Robula is a Saturn. When I bought her, the entire staff of the dealership came out and applauded rhythmically and chanted something utterly incoherent. They took my picture and, after I left in all great haste, I started receiving mail from Saturn inviting me on rafting trips and cookouts with the Saturn Family.
It's a Cult.
But their service center is equipped with a lovely fireplace, cold pop, donuts, a big TV (with Cable), and a computer for us Web Heads. If this is a cult, it's one I can hang with!
So yesterday, I was kicked back trying to snooze as the mechanics did their thing for the Robula, when suddenly a great racket began. Someone had just bought a car, and they were receiving the full Cult treatment, with chants, applause, and photography. It all came back to me how......strange the Saturn Family can be.
I really think that the Moonies decided to get into the auto industry. But, then I see the soft glow of their communal computer in my mind's eye and being able to drive about menacingly in my blackberry beauty.....it's not so bad being in a Cult.
