I purchased a black 30 gig iPod. It was cheaper than I'd found anywhere else and there was only one left. I had to do it. Had to. There was no time to debate or talk myself out of it. I also got the FM tuner so I can play the little thing in the car. Now I'm looking at it and I'm like "what the fuck?" Surely this is a sign that the technology is outgrowing me. I can no long point and laugh at the older people in my family for their inexplicable inability to set the time on a VCR. I'm becoming one of them. Legions of youngsters will point and laugh at me as they watch me struggle with the iPod and yodel out into the night "why god why me?"

First things first. I'm reading the instruction booklet from front to back. Then I'm gonna try to put all my music on the thing. And then I'm gonna try to listen to that music. If all else fails, I'll go beg Blake, who is almost 14 years old, for help. He won't laugh. Surely not.

I'm amazed that 7500 songs can fit on this teeny-weeny little machine. Like.....whoa.

I have no idea what to do with it. I'm going to watch Battlestar Galactica and then go to bed. It's gonna be a long day tomorrow.

I love my iPod. I really really do. I figured out how to load my music (it's easy), and operating it is easy, and it's SWEET. I want new headphones, because the earbuds it comes with are very nice and clear and all, but they're still earbuds and I'm not terribly fond of earbuds. But I LOVE it. Really. :)

I think mine is only 20 gigs. But I'm good. I just need to figure out how to listen to podcasting, because Penn Jilette has a podcasted show, and I must hear it. MUST.

We don't either. We bought them because we are whores for Penn & Teller. I want to go to Vegas just so I can see them live. :D

I love, love, love my iPod. I have a black Nano that is only like, I dunno, 4 gigs, but I still can't manage to use more than 1%. Love it. My husband has the Shuffle that he also loves but the Shuffle doesn't have the nifty screen and it only has 1 gig.

Do you have the video iPod? The one that you can download TV shows onto?

It can store video and pictures too, but I have dial up so I don't think I'll be doing the downloading of shows. I haven't the patience.

I love my iPod. I would have never bought one, but thanks to my father-in-law I can enjoy loads of NPR programs whenever I want!
