At 4 PM this afternoon, I'm getting my hair cut into a bob. This will be step one of two to get my hair super short. Right now, my hair is down to my hips, so it's going to be a major change. Pictures will be coming soon.
Don't even get me started on Locks of Love. They are not exactly a reputable charity which, frankly, just bites:(
I've thought that if I were to ever part with my long hair for some reason, I would keep it, just in case I ever needed a wig myself. It just seems that having my familiar fur would be a little comforting at a tough time, but that may just be me.
Oh, don't tell me that! Everyone around here give you the hairy eyeball if you don't donate your hair to them, so I just did it. Have I don't something heinous with my hair?
Naaah, they will not be using it to strangle baby seals or anything;) They do end up selling most American hair because typical grooming and styling practices make our hair pretty useless for wigmaking. Any coloring, perming, frequent washing and product use causes damage, I guess. You appear to have "virgin" hair like mine, howver, so yours may end up on someone's head. They also have pricing practices for their wigs that have been called into question of late. Typical, eh?
Yes, I was rather disappointed as well, seeing as I gave my hank o'hair to them the second time in my life that I went short.
