I finally got my scanner to working and, having found some old art books, decided to scan some of the pictures I've done from the mid-80s on.

All the pictures can be found in my Photobucket Art Folder.

Here are some samples, one of which is NOT work safe.

Hterelil Htanna (circa 1985)

Drillna, the scourge of Taub (circa 1985)

Rhyllan prophet Khentu Khammen.

A sketch of Cadmus Pariah, circa 1998

My child from a past life, right around the turn of the century in Europe.

Nude Maul (circa 2000)

Syd Barrett (circa 1999)

Verdin Teofolyn (circa 1986)

The King Vampyre Thiyennen Vathyella

As your child in THIS life I am quite jealous that you drew a picture of your child from a past life. NO FAIR! Mom always liked him best.

I am impressed by your rendering, especially on Syd's face. Also, the gesture of Maul's upper body - great twist and sense of tension and volume. And--I'll say it--good job drawing that penis! Same for Hterelil Htanna's hands - I have such a hard time with hands. It's really hit or miss. You've inspired me to take up my pencils and try to remember how to draw for pleasure.

Dudette! Thank you! And, if you pull out your pencils, I demand to see what you create. Demand it!

Same here...

I absolutely loved your drawings, and it makes me want to draw again.

I want to see your art too, dammit. Get to work!

And thank you. It's always heartening to discover folks like what you do.

You have no idea how honoured I am to read this, 'cos you're an incredible artist whom I've admired from afar for many moons. Thank you!

You paid enourmous amount of attention to Maul's lightsaber. /innuendo

It's all I did for the majority of 1999 and 2000.

Um. There aren't the words to describe how geeky that is.

Oh, and how much you needed a visit from the n00kie monster (work safeness required here).

:D

Actually, yes, I did. I'd been celibate for over a year when SW:EP1 came out and I remained celibate until 2001. Darth Maul was my n00kie monster, mine and several hundred other women at the Darth MaulEstrogen Brigade.

I like how Maul has a halo around his head, and a matching little halo around his penis - very balanced! Draws the eye!

Now, without jest, the Maul drawing reminded me of the redware and blackware ancient Greek pottery drawings I remember studying in art history. Espcially the treatment of the penis! If that was intentional, you nailed it! (So to speak ;)

No it wasn't intentional! Whoa, I'm intrigued now. Can you send me some info on this pottery? You can email me at angelina@barryandrews.net. Please put in the subject line that you're mizliz so I won't delete you as spam. Thanks! :)

Very nice. A person like me gains a little more insight into a person when artwork is involved. Unfortunately I don't have a means to display my drawn enigmas(I don't got a payed account - yep, cheap bastard, Ray). But, maybe I'll figure out what this photobucket thing is when I get a chance and you can draw your own conclusions.

Photobucket is free until you reach a certain level of space, which is hard to do unless you're a photo and picture ho like me. I'd love to see what you've done whenever you can post it.

Thanks! That was part of a tarot deck I was creating with my Craft Mother many many years ago. It was never completed, but who knows? Maybe someday.

Thank you. I haven't dreamt of my son in ages, but I can still see him very clearly in my mind's eye.

These are lovely. I think the picture of Syd is my favorite. Maul looks like some long-lost pagan god of war and destruction - way cool!
