Bush opens Alaska forest to logging.

The Tongass National Forest contains 30 percent of the world's temperate coastal forests -- for now. The Bush administration rules that no more of the forest will be declared protected wilderness, opening up hundreds of thousands of acres for logging. If the administration succeeds in reversing the Clinton ban on new roads in national forests, then millions of acres could be at risk.

Okay, how did you manage to override everything so that this entry stays on top of my friends page and keeps new posts below it? This is very odd.

Either that, or ask LJ tech support what it is...I suppose I could live with scrolling past it if you especially want to keep it there. Actually, only the bottom part, with your mood icon and the comments link is on top, the rest of it is down where it's supposed to be---it came up like that when you posted it yesterday, and for some reason the text is in the side bar where your user icon goes...really, really bizarre. Does it look that way when other people view my friends page, or just me?

I did away with some of the html that I lifted from the site and made it a bit more generic. Lemme know if it didn't work for you.
