tinhuvielwhen my company gives us something with one hand, it slaps the shit out of us with another. Recent example: last week, we got Friday off in addition to Thursday. Just today we were told we won't be getting raises this year.
Past examples:
~~We were given a gift certificate to Best Buy ~ the next day my department was dissolved and I got a severe (over 2 bucks an hour) cut in pay with a crummy job.
~~We were given the option to get a 'brand new computer' cheap through the company ~ we later found out that many of the 'puters were defective and we were paying double taxes on them, which made them cost a little more than if we'd just gone to the store to get one.
~~We were all given 2 tickets each to Carowinds and/or Six Flags ~ 3 months later there was a massive layoff and now all of my friends at work are gone.
The moral to this story never ever EVER trust the monster that is Corporate America, especially if it's privately owned by Germany...
