I remember once seeing a parody of that quote going something like "It is by caffeine alone my mind is set in motion...", etc...

When you get to the part about "...by the juice of Sapho, thoughts acquire speed...," it actually starts to *sound* like coffee. :) You know, until I saw the picture with it, I had forgotten that was in Dune, which is suprising considering how very into that series I was when I read it. Probably because, before becoming acquainted with Dune, I had heard that particular quote mis-attributed to one or another of the Beat Generation poets, and though I don't remember which one now, the error kind of sticks...
