I gave Llew a rude awakening this morning, dressed as a hip-hop thug with huge sunglasses and dancing to 'In Da Club' by 50 Cents. The song starts out with 'It's your birthday, we're gonna party like it's your birthday.' Since today is his birthday, I thought it was pretty appropriate. He cackled like a rabid rooster.

Afterwards I fed him cheesy eggs and toast and now he's napping while I catch up online. We may go shopping later on.

Last night we got to meet [livejournal.com profile] ravien. She's a really nice girl and put up with a lot of bullshit at Dougal McGuires since she wasn't allowed to drink and the band never got around to playing. They did a faboo sound check, though, that merited my lifting the table candle in tribute.

Llew's money was held up in the bank so we were financially embarrassed. That, on top of the rain, the crap band, and it being the Ides of March, made for a not very successful eve at all. Oh well. Such is the way of things.

I feel like a rag that has been wrung out too tightly. It's time to get a shower and get myself in order. While I do that, I'm gonna let Llew sleep and maybe wake him up with more rap music. He'll kill me, but I'll die laughing.

All things happen for a reason. I'm sure there was a reason I wasn't allowed to drink and I think it was because of things that happened later in the evening. I would have been sick/passed out if I had been drinking.

I'm happy I got out of the house. Doesn't take much with me. I got out and I saw "real people". That alone makes me happy :)

We'll hang again soon.
