tinhuvielThis dude at the Atlanta branch pissed me off about three years ago by trying to schmooze me with his Star Wars knowledge, then informing me that he's learned that, if he creates a common ground with people, he can then get in their good graces and earn special treatment. I instantly despised him because he's essentially a politician and a stupid one at that.
So, a couple of weeks ago he submitted a prepack order that wasn't correctly filled out, nor did it have the right authorisation codes or signatures. I told him I couldn't do it, that he needed to get this information for me. Just today, he sent the revamped order, then called to see how soon the warehouse can get the prepack out for him. I told him that it takes 5 business days for the warehouse to work on a prepack so I couldn't guarantee any date earlier than that. So he then went into the spiel about how important it is that the items get there asap and he told me all about the project he arranged with the record stores and blah blah blah, like I give any sort of a damn. I told him again that I couldn't guarantee anything. "Can we expedite this just a little?" he asked. "I can let the warehouse know it needs to go out asap, but they still have their 5 days to ship the prepack out," said I. "Can't you rush it some, just for meeeee?" he pleaded, with his voice going all mock cute, like he and I are friends.
What a moron. He has no clue that he insulted me years ago and that I hold grudges from the Inner Ring of Hell. Besides, I tend not to assist people who have the IQ of 30 and he obviously does. Why did it take him 2 weeks to get another order to me? He's needing this expedited now because he drug his feet (and apparently his knuckles as well).
No amount of schmoozing will help him now. He dropped the ball and must now take responsibility before his superiors. Maybe they'll be easy on him, especially if he's created a good basis of similarity, like he did with me and Star Wars.
