Discounting the hell on earth known as the answering service, it was a very good weekend.

My boss relieved me 30 minutes early yesterday, so I was set free at 7:30. Rushing home, I gathered up the last of my ritual gear and, with Llew and Aunt Tudi in tow, zizzed quickly to K & D's house.

The ceremony was quite successful I think! K, D, & T spoke their hearts quite eloquently and, with Llew's invaluable assistance, I was able to perform my ritual duty as priestess in handfasting the three of them before the witness of the Mighties. I'd never done a handfasting before. Leave it to me to take on the challenge of a generic poly Pagan handfasting! On top of that, I hadn't been in full high ritual mode in a very long time, so I was a little nervous. Once we all got going though, it all came back to me. Who know that high ritual was like riding a bike?

Aunt Tudi had never witnessed a Circle on the scale of which we held last night, nor had she ever attended a handfasting or had much exposure to the Poly lifestyle. I think she handled all of it quite graciously with an open mind and heart. For that I'm thankful!

Llew would make a very good priest if he decided to persue a 1st Degree. He has a Magickal heart and a flair for ritual.

After ritual, we all piled up indoors and noshed on snacks and talked & laughed. T and I got to quoting Mel Brooks, which was beyond the coolest. We stayed up too late, got home way too late, and crashed into bed with a resounding **KOOSH**

Today was very cool as well. Aunt Tudi and I followed Llew to the field in Dacusville to watch his flight club fly all manner of RC planes. We saw some slow planes and some super-fast planes. One plane was a replica of a 1940's fighter plane. It was gas powered and just a killer model. Unfortunately it was crashed pretty badly. All the guys went out the site and stood in a circle for about 20 minutes or so before hauling the carcass back to the main take-off site. They were like a mourning committee.

Anyway, it was a very good time and it was nice to be outside in some wonderful weather in the company of interesting folks.

I am looking forward to going back there. Hopefully Llew will teach me how to fly soon and I can show them that girls can be RC geeks too. heheheh

So ends my weekend update. I sleep now. ::head hits keyboard::
