#45, faltering resolve

tinhuviel45 ~ a magic number, that. That's my juror number yo! I got the letter from the clerk of court today that I've been picked to serve on jury the week of 25 August. I can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! Having served twice before, once on a litigation case and once on a criminal case, I pretty much know what to expect. I hope I get picked for something juicy, so much so that I can't even write about it here. I hope I get sequestered! That'd be groovy. Being picked for jury duty is a sure sign that my luck may be turning. Maybe I should aggressively play the lottery for the next month. You're chosen for jury duty in a sort of lottery/raffle thing, so maybe I'll get to witness a Law & Order-worthy court case and then win a million clams for the hell of it. Again, that'd be groovy. While I'm at the courthouse, I'm gonna ask them if there's any way a person can volunteer to be on a grand jury or be involved in the court system in an ongoing capacity. All of that fascinates me so much, there'd be nothing I'd love more than to be a part of it all the time.
My resolve has officially been compromised. Even though Michael Keaton isn't in it, I want to see the new Batman movie The Dark Knight. It's not because of Batman, no. I can't stand Christian Bale. Just looking at him pisses me off for some reason. This probably won't come as a surprise to anyone who knows me just superficially that the movie villain once again has tickled my fancy. There's just something about Heath Ledger's Joker that makes my eyebrows lift and my ears perk. Maybe it's that he looks like the bastard child of Robert Smith and Darth Maul. I don't know. I doubt I'll figure it out. I've never been able to figure out what it is about certain individuals that piques my interest. Psychic pheromones? Mebbe. After Batman Returns, I swore never to watch another Batman movie without Michael Keaton in the leading role.
