Quick sketch

I haven't drawn in ages, save for the occasional doodle here and there, but I saw compelled to make a quick pencil sketch this morning. After sketching it, I felt it needed some colour, so I pulled out whatever pens I could find and went to work. Figured I'd throw it on my Deviant Art page since it's pretty much deviant. But, since I put everything here on the Cliffs, I decided to post it here too. This is what happens when I start to mourn the end of something I've been writing. I either start writing again, or a draw something ridiculous. Or I just crawl off under a rock and sulk, which is what I'm about to do after making this post.






This is actually a photograph because I can't seem to figure out how to use the scan function on my printer. Once I do, I'll scan the art for a better quality picture.

Glad you like it! I should pull out the sketch pad and spend more than ten minutes on an actual drawing now that I see I can at least get the basics of J on paper.

Aw, dudette! LOL. I had Jokerise Leopold in the sketch because of the avatar boira uses over at Rancid Rainbow. She just really loves Leopold. I've no doubt that my Leopold is in the Summerlands (maybe with Heath) chuckling a little hedgie laugh at all the attention he's getting years after his passing.

No-no, definitely stupid. She's right. 'Cos I'm thinking of redoing the thing and taking it seriously this time (dragging out the pencils and art paper). This is what happens when I try desperately to avoid a certain Vampire Cannibal's demands for attention.

All kidding aside, it does irk me how I mourn when I finish writing stories. The beginnings of 'The Blood Crown' is a direct result of my mourning for and missing 'The Chalice.' I wish I could just walk away and be happy, y'know?
