tinhuviel: (Dog o'Doom!)
Last night, I apparently had some sort of reaction to the Lunesta (or something) and I put on a show for Aunt Tudi. She audio taped some of the shit I was muttering, but grew rather worried when I got up and started playing with matches. I burned an entire box of the small wooden matches and piled the burnt matches in a neat little pyramid on the kitchen table. I then returned to bed and attempted to play with a book of matches. What's so weird is, I remember parts of this, but I thought it was only a dream. Aunt Tudi told me that I proclaimed that I wanted to "do" Harry Potter, then blurted out "You ain't the boss of me!" So, yeah.... I'm a little leery of going to bed tonight.

My review at SCEC was a raging success. It looks like I'll remain qualified for unemployment benefits for at least 6 or 7 more weeks, no sweat!

After I got outta there, Aunt Tudi and I went to Verizon to renew our contract and get new phones. Mine is a Motorola flip phone and hers is a Samsung flip phone. As soon as I can, I plan on reading the instruction booklets from cover to cover, then teaching Aunt Tudi how to use her new phone. She was uncomfortable with the last phone she had, a little Kyocera, so this is gonna be fun getting her updated with something that looks like Captain Kirk would use it to have Scottie beam him up.

Shmoop is still snuffly, so I'll be calling Doc in the morning to see what the dealio is. I also need to find out the symptoms of the dog flu that's going around, so I'll know what to watch for with our beloved canines.

I'm off again now to go find a blanket for Aunt Tudi. You can read small-print newspaper articles through the one she has now and it's supposed to be colder than a witch's tittie tonight.

Oh...and PS: B is going to eat [livejournal.com profile] falkenna. I have seen it books somewhere. Another sign of the Alpaca Lips.

From here, eh.

  • Ever played table top RPGs? If so, which and did you like them? If not, why not? I got a taste of Dungeons & Dragons in my freshman year of high school and instantly fell in love; however, there was an Uber-Fundie Bible-thumping Weiner whose BVD's were two sizes too small who complained about some of playing that Satanic game at school and had the operation shut down in the name of gawd. That one time was the only time I got to play and I could never find any gamers around until it got super popular years later when all the gamers were like 10 years my junior. So....blah.

  • Could I possible get any more porn today at my Myspace account? All Things are possible on Teh Intarwebs.

  • How much begging do I have to do to get you to come to my wedding? I would so be there if I could. Is presence in spirit good enough? The spirit won't be nearly as standoffish, I promise.

  • Why is the U.S. such a violent society? We're the Toddlers of the World, considering the age of so many other nations on the planet. It's my sincerest hope that we're just going through the terrible twos. Maybe after we get our collective preschool arses whipped a few times by those older and wiser than we, we'll be able to cast down the sticks and give a hug or two. That's theory number one. Theory number two is simpler, shorter, and probably more like it: WE SUCK.

ION: I'm cold as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore! No seriously, dipping from the mid-50s to upper 30s in the span of 24 hours is just not a good thing....ever. No...

Of late, I've been very conscientious of people dying or retiring from "important positions." It's as though a changing of the guard is occurring in secret right under our noses. The Old Guard realises that their contributions to a once hopeful world filled with the promise of Humanity realising our full potential are now obsolete and bereft of power of Spirit. And so they fade to a harder, less-intelligent, angry child who carries the flag of woe, desperation, and uncertainty.

I know it has to go this way. I realise that we're entering the last days of a Great Cycle and the Crone must have Her blood and the fealty of those strong enough to endure the transformation. But it's still very sad.

Being an Apocalyptic Pagan, I watch for signs and portents. I massage the dark undercurrents of national and international news. And I weep as much as I rejoice that all of this will end.

Before a new beginning, an End must come. Those to whom it is entrusted to herald in this new age of death are being placed in seats of power now. Hope is a rare commodity and Despair is in abundance.

As I hear about the horrors of Rwanda and speak with folks from New Orleans, I understand that Rosa Parks had done what she could and it was now time for her to go. The era of rights and fighting for those rights has left us. We're now in the era of blood.

The Crone is menstruating and the tide will be too strong for all of us to hold on. But I'm glad to be with my friends and loved ones, both in RL and online, "here at the end of all things."
