tinhuvielAfter battling a long liver illness, Daisy left this Vale of Tears today, at approximately 5:50 PM, to join her lifemate Henry Herman in the warm and gracious Summerland.
She was Aunt Tudi's companion, so Aunt Tudi is currently deeply devastated, much like I was when Henry passed on. She couldn't even be present when Dr. Patch euthanised Daisy. She doesn't handle death very well.
This past week was pretty bad for Daisy. She was unable to keep anything down when she did eat, which wasn't that often, and her bladder was starting to fail her. On top of that she couldn't get comfortable in any position. Aunt Tudi and I both knew she was miserable. It was time to go.
I only hope that someone cares enough about me to let me go when it's my time.
I posted this picture when Henry died, but I post it again now to honour Daisy. She's the light brown beagle on the right.
The house is severely diminished without the presence of a beagle.
The heart aches.
