The Music Biz attempts to sue and enslave its consumers

Don't the Big Guys realise that if they'd cease signing talentless models and start signing and appreciating the real musicians out there, focus on concerts, and produce albums worth buying, they wouldn't have to resort to terrorising music lovers just to make a buck?

Of course, they don't understand this concept because they're, for the most part, a horde of morons. ....and I should know.

I could be wrong...

It seems somehow wrong to charge like $15 for a cd only to give $1-$2 of it to the "Artist" and then spend a lump of the rest .. harrassing and generally annoying the consumer.

I used to buy music but I will be buggered if I will give anything to a company that treats me like that so for me at least I will be going Indie with my next purchases.

I completely agree with and support you. They don't pay their drones anything either, so there's no doubt something smells foul here.

Oh I am sure it is like any other big company .. the people at the top being paid entirely too much.

I have to ask you as an insider .. what DOES the RIAA actually do? I cannot see any purpose for their existance.. unless you count lame ad campaigns for Brittany SPears and Co. Which I do not.

Have you ever watched Babylon 5 and noticed the role of PsiCorps? That's the RIAA.

What do you mean, "wrong".

The music industry is a big indentured servitude machine that sqeezes turnips for blood and systematically squashes anything it considers dangerous [i.e. creative]. It's a godzfraking miracle anything that doesn't suck ever gets released on a major label.

"It's sort of like a serial drunk driver has to have their license taken away at some point," said Yoder, 30.

yeah, it's just exactly like that. I know lives all over the internet are put at risk every time I fire up my fucking cd burner.
