Once Again.

Once again, I feel like I do not belong. I think it's time to move on from a group of which I am a member. I've never felt truly like one of the gang there, and it's been made crystal clear today that I'm just not fitting in, even after months of trying. It's at times like this when I wonder if I belong anywhere at all. Maybe I'm just too much of a weirdo to have a real home with others.

Part of a group of people who can find no place with anyone, not even each other...

::hugs:: I think you and I may be feeling something similar if it's the group I think it is....E-mail me if you want to talk. And yeah, us weirdos can stick together, but our non-conformity can make a homogeneous community difficult. Consortium seems a better fit than community...but maybe that's just me. I have fits of anti-social behaviour as you know. ;)

Groups are at times troublesome things I find. For me, it seems like at least one person becomes the "Do You Belong Police", which is annoying even if it's done in subtle ways. I am feral, and not good at completely complying to the Group Thought, not that I'm smarter or cooler than anyone else, I'm just, me. Know what I mean?

You're not too wierd to have a real home with others. Heck, I like you just the way you are. You remind me of myself a lot and I wish we lived closer as I'd love to hang out with you. I think we'd have a great time.

Even when after learning that one is never completely integrated, there always seem to be slips where it makes one sad again. Remember yourself! It doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with them *or* you. An outsider is more outsider with some groups than others, but always an outsider. The trick is remembering that, on balance, this is not only good but wonderful.
