The Rest of It

After spending 1.5 hours being catered to like a queen at Saturn, I went by Llew's to see if he was home and ready to go pick up the washer. He was, except for one minor detail...a reunion of sorts on our part. We've been too long separated! It was a bit more than evident that we miss each other. Perhaps more on that later, if I feel up to writing it down.

We hopped in the truck and headed for Best Buy. On the way there, we encountered a Big Honkin' Thunderstorm. Now, I love raiin and I'm a big fan of storms...but enough is enough already! Nobody can get the grass cut for it being wet all the damned time. I told Aunt Tudi tonight that, if we're going to live in a tropicl rainforest, then let the grass grow! What can we do about it?

But I digress.

We finally made it to Best Buy, dodging huge puddles and eeking along in the torrential rainfall. The rain subsided just a bit when we arrived, so we got in with minor moistening of our persons. Once inside, I presented my receipt and asked for my washer. That is when I was informed that it wouldn't be in until tomorrow. Noooooo! I explained that I was informed by the salesman that I had until the 16th to pick it up and was told again that I'd have to wait until tomorrow. Well, I was getting pretty irked by then and told them that I couldn't come back tomorrow, I needed my washer now. The manager got involved and Lo and Behold! suddenly we had an available washer. It was lost in the store room. By the time it was brought out, there was a monsoon going on outside, so Llew and I had to wait. We puttered about the DVD's. He found 'Starshp Troopers', one of our faves, and decided to buy that. We checked out and decided to brave the rains as they'd subsided somewhat. A stock dude came to help load the washer and, about halfway through the loading, the monsoon returned. Before it was over, we all looked like drenched rats in a leaky sewer.

Llew and I made our soggy way back home and brought the washer in. We both hurt our backs, got wet some more, not only with rain, but also with sweat. We were both stinky, soppy, achy, and satisfied with our travails, but we were too tired and it was too late for us to have any quality time. At least we stole some moments before all this hoo-ha.

He went home and I got cleaned up and in some jammies. We're now trying out the washer. It seems to be utterly faboo. No more slamming and bamming (without the 'thank you ma'aming). Aunt Tudi is thrilled. "Now," she said, "I won't have to sit on the washer to keep it level!"
My question to her was "So how are you going to get your jollies now?" She turned bright red and walked away. I love to do that her.

Oh, yeah, I talked to Michelle today. She wrote me a quick note to let me know that Barry called her and that she was in coniptions. Wow.. it seems like a lifetime ago we cranked up our friendship based upon our mutual admiration/fear/lust/love for The Bald One. My, how far we've come now! So far, indeed, it seems that he shall be staying with her during his time in the Sacramento and San Francisco areas. She's gonna have to stock up on Depends as I'm certain she'll be wetting herself (in a number of ways) as this all transpires. HA!

So, anyway, she's gonna try to film the concert and maybe make a few home movies for me too. What would I do without my dear friends through whom I'm allowed to live vicariously? I'm a very lucky person indeed.

Time for bed. My achy-breaky back said so.

Ah, it went the Way of the Dodo. Not enough interest at that time. Perhaps I shall reinstate it as B blazes across North America, leaving a trail of verklempt women in his wake.
