Oct. 22nd, 2003 10:24 amI don't care if Dar Williams is on their label, the people behind the scenes are assholes from hell.

R&T Hellion:
There are two account charge order that should have been shipped on 10/17 according to the special instructions, but the system shows that they shipped on 10/20
It is very important for the orders to ship on time otherwise the customer has every right to cancel their order. We try to get it to them a week before street date...If there is a problem like not enough in stock please let us know don't just ship them 3 days later. Can you please let me know what happened with these two orders?
Me:
I was working in conjunction with inventory management on these orders in the attempt to ship them out from whse 3 and save you money. When it became apparent that the stock wasn't going to arrive on time, I transferred the orders to 11 and asked that they be shipped on Friday. There was no indication that this would not happen; however, with our new system, there's really no guarantee that orders submitted or transferred after Noon will be processed. Such was the case with these 2 orders. I checked on Monday morning to see if they'd shipped, noted that they hadn't, and made the appropriate adjustments to insure that the orders would ship on Monday. If you would prefer to pay extra shipping charges in order to guarantee shipment by a certain day, I'll be happy to place orders in warehouses other than the most convenient one; however, in the long run, this may cost you more money since the situation with these two orders is a rare occurrence. Let me know what you wish to do for future orders. Thanks

We never had these issues before….We write down what we need in the special instructions line, it’s not about the shipping cost it’s about getting the product out to customers before street date….I am not sure what changed but we need the all the new relases to go out when instructed.
Me (after having lost my temper):
Before we had about twice the manpower, stock coming from the vendors arrived at the time promised, and we didn't have a system that limits our control over orders that need to be transferred to other warehouses and made into priorities after 12 Noon.
All I can advise is that you need to take these changes into account when you have a the notion that there might be even the slightest delay in one of our warehouses getting stock in time enough to ship an order in a timely manner. I need your permission to make certain decisions to avoid a situation like this in the future because, if I ship product from an east coast warehouse going to a west coast location (or vice versa), I'm certain I'll be getting an email asking me why and wanting us to pay the extra shipping charges incurred.
As for these two orders, we had to ship from our Duncan warehouse anyway because the stock wasn't in Reno at the time it was promised. Since that is a vendor issue, you may want to contact the vendor and discover the reasons for the delay on their end. If they're like everyone else, I'm sure it has something to do with a shortage of manpower.
I'm so close to telling them to shove their lousy product up their chocolate wiz-ways and going into the Feudal Mistress' office to beg her for release from this label. All they ever do is complain. No matter what I do, I can't satisfy them. Well, I've gotten to the point where I don't want to satisfy them. They have no idea how close they are to having every single order they send to me screwed up royally.
Sithly revenge....it's sweet as honey.
