It was one of the first ones I read when I started doing my research last year. I got it from this site. Since a lot of people are trying to gouge WLS patients by overcharging for protein drinks, I rather dig this concoction because it uses items you can get cheaply out of the grocery store.
Yahoodle!

  • take a cup

  • add 2 ounces of water

  • add 2 scoops of chocolate 100% pure whey protein (available at vitamin stores and some grocery stores - don't let them talk you into the vitamin-fortified crap)

  • add 1 scoop of chocolate dry soy shake mix (also available at vitamin stores and some grocery stores - you need linoleic & Alpha-linolenic fatty acid every day, and soy products containing fat have both, and they're really hard to find from anything else on the planet except for soy) - 110 calories, 23 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat and 0 grams of sugar.

  • add 1-2 tablespoons of No Sugar Added Nesquik chocolate powder. 180 calories, 0 grams of protein, 1 gram of fat and 0 grams of sugar.

  • Mix this stuff up with a spoon until it's the consistency of pudding.

  • Add more water until it's the consistency you want. Mixing the ingredients in this way eliminates little pockets of dry unmixed ingredients.

This recipe has 374 calories, 65 grams of protein, 4 grams of fat and 3 grams of sugar. I split it out over two or three glasses over the day. This formula gives me the recommended 60 grams of supplemental protein a day for gastric bypass patients, it's very yummy, and eliminates all of my desires for food for about two hours. It's even better if you mix it with an electric "boat motor" hand blender. Add a banana if you have one.

Sounds very interesting. I might try this, although I've not exactly got the ingredients lying around the house. Still, anything with chocolate in has got to be good.

Interesting site. I like this from it:

There's an interesting quotation that the stress-management lady gave us about the bliss of forgiving ourselves for being unique. It's occasionally attributed to Nelson Mandela, but my research suggests it's originally from Marianne Williamson.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us. It's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fears, our presence automatically liberates others.
