Both traps were open this morning, the food still in place.
I'll check again at lunchtime.

Stephanie called the rodent "Mouse-ini" in honour of his amazing escape techniques. If I can't catch him in the Havahart, I'm afraid I'll be calling him "Dead" because Aunt Tudi will drag out the big guns, ergo killer traps and D-con.

I'm told peanut butter actually makes the best mousebait---contrary to popular belief, they apparently like it more than cheese, and because they can't carry it away easily it gives sluggish traps more time to be sprung. I've used it with fairly good results, myself. I also suspect my habit of releasing them at the local Mormon church may be responsible for the subsequent major renovation project which took place at that building. *evil grin*
