The Great Test
Dec. 5th, 2003 06:46 amToday is the first Friday on which I shall be working both jobs. Not only that, but I also have to take Chester and Riley to the vet's office, Chester for a grooming and Riley for his shots, right after work. So this is how my day looks from the get-go:
- Up at 6 a.m., attempt to wake up and pump coffee into my needy veins.
- Be at job # 1 a little before 8 a.m., work away like a good little corporate slave.
- Drop off Chester at lunchtime, go to the PO and pick up more bills.
- Go back to job #1 by 1 p.m. and slave some more
- Leave job # 1 at 5 p.m., go pick up Aunt Tudi and Riley, head for the vet's office to arrive by 5:30
- Wait approximately 1.5 hours to be seen, then hobnob with Dr. Patch, making my projected leave-time from the vet's office around 7
- Drop the dogs off at home, go back out to the drugstore so Aunt Tudi can get her meds. Appromixate time will now be around 7:15, 7:30.
- Pick up the meds, swing by Llew's to drop off his enzymes, then home, hopefully by 8 p.m.
- Attempt to speed nap from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., whereupon I will need to rise and ready myself for job # 2
- Leave for work around 10:15 p.m. in order to be on time to start my shift at 11 p.m.
- Sit in the dark, alone, with only my laptop to keep me from the dry gropings of insanity and/or exhaustion
- Leave job # 2 at 7 a.m. Saturday to return home for some well-deserved and, by then, desperately-needed slumber
