It's Late and I'm Bored

I'm watching "Willow" on TV. I always loved this film, even though it's a big lump of fluff. The best thing about the movie is the music. James Horner is a wonderful composer. Hearing this music made me think of Howard Shore's exquisite scoring of "The Lord of the Rings" so I popped over to the website to see what was going on. Whoa! I found out that Annie Lennox is featured in "The Return of the King." She's doing a song called Into the West. I'll bet my granny panties that this is the song that will be played at the Grey Havens near the end of the film. I shall be weeping mightily, there is absolutely no doubt.

In a way, I kind of wish that they had incorporated The Road Goes Ever On from the Rankin/Bass cartoon version of "The Return of the King." That's a very beautiful song and the lyrics just make my heart go pittie-pat.

You're right, James Horner is a genius. His score for Titanic was perhaps the best thing about the film.
