I just printed out a temporary ID card for my new insurance. Now, if I can convince the folks at Dr. Ross' office that it's imperative they fax the claim over on 2 January, I could very well be approved within the month. Hell, I've read several instances where people were approved within hours. If that's the case with me, I will ideally have my pre-cert two weeks from today.
After extensive investigation of the UHC site, I have come to the conclusion that not only are they sympathetic to WLS patients, but they enthusiastically encourage the surgery for those of us who truly qualify. I definitely fall into that category, so I don't foresee any problems.
Hopefully by mid-February I'll be on my way to reclaiming my life.
eeeeee-haaaaa!
