Sunday Reflections

tinhuvielOur cat of almost 18 years, Paisley, is walking the house meowing. She keeps frequenting the litter pan, but not using it, and she's drinking an ungodly amount of water. From all I've heard and seen about feline kidney disease, this isn't a good omen. Looks like I'll be dropping her off at Dr. Patch's in the morning.
Today it is decreed that I will do nothing whatsoever. I get so freaked out on the weekends now because that whole 3rd shift business messes with my sense of time, I wholly unsure this is indeed Sunday. I don't have any chores to do or obligations to fulfill until tonight and, dammit, I'm going to veg shamelessly.
This evening, the GUUF women's circle is having their Solstice celebration. I am to go and sing seasonal carols, hopefully with other ladies. Embarrassingly, I've hardly practiced, so I'm looking at possible humiliation as I struggle with any high notes or odd lyrics. Oy. I've been debating on what to wear, like my wardrobe choices are so multitudinous! I've decided to go with my Happy Hannukah sweatshirt, overlayed with my red and green flannel. If I had a Kufi hat, I'd pretty well be decked out for all the holidays. When we get to the joys & sorrows part of the service tonight, or prayer requests, or magickal suggestions, or whatever the hell it's gonna be this time around, I think I'm going to ask that healing energy be sent Paisley's way.
I awoke no longer nauseated; rather, I'm a bit peckish, so I'm off to find some nibbles before my busy day of doing nothing commences.
