My coworker is talking about having to call the "authorities" out to her house to kill a deer that got caught in her back yard. Deer wouldn't be in people's back yards if people weren't in the deer's back yards. Fortunately, the deer got away, but stories like this just break my heart. The deer have much more of a right to live on this planet than we do. At least they aren't destroying everything and making life miserable for their fellow Earthlings.

I doubt the authorities would have really killed it, would they?

Date: 2003-12-27 07:32 am (UTC)You can always call the RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) for situations like that, or if you find injured birds, or hit but don't kill a fox on the road, or know people mistreating their pets, etc. They will come and take care of it.
