Can Tom Hanks Pull It Off?

tinhuvielI don't know...I just don't know. Truly, I hope so, because it'd be beyond cool!
Seems as though the Coen Brothers have remade the old British classic The Ladykillers, with Tom Hanks in the role that Sir Alec Guinness so wonderfully portrayed back in the 50's. Sheesh, he even has the same teeth! What I find pretty cool is that Mrs. Wilberforce (aka Mrs. Lopsided) is now a Sister in the updated film. Ha!
In honour of the new movie hopefully bringing the original to the attention of so many deprived souls, I'm watching it here at work tonight. Why Herbert Lom didn't become a major sex symbol of his time escapes my reasoning.
