From my writings over the weekend in Monck's Corner and Sullivan's Island.

6 March
6:26 a.m.

My Moon has hit me and I feel as though I've been smacked by a large SUV driven my a rabid soccer mom with a death wish.

I will not let it hinder me today though.... There's just too much to do and not enough time. The Paternal Unit is wanting to play some Trivial Pursuit with Aunt Tudi and me. He's also wanting us to watch a movie with him called Second Hand Lions. That's four hours right there.

I am wanting to go to the Ocean and perform a full moon ceremony, sans aught but my own body for the Magickal Working ~ but that's all a person really needs, eh? I brought the pendants so deftly crafted by [livejournal.com profile] furnacechant to cleanse and charge in anticipation of Llew's birthday the 16th of this month. This is the Storm Moon, one of my favourites, and my absolute favourite for charging items and making any sort of Magick requiring an extra dash of raw passion. Last I heard, there's a chance it's going to be rainy and windy today, which will add to the perfection of the experience. This will take at least three hours.

Then, I promised the Paternal Unit that I'd take him to dinner tonight. He rarely gets out these days because of his failing health and I want to show him a decent time while I still have the chance. That will be two hours right there.

Add the normal couple or three hours normally frittered away waiting on bathroom time to prepare, engaging in spontaneous "catch up" conversations, and sundry other diversions, and I'm looking at a 13 to 14 hour day. I doubt we'll be back at the house until 10 or so tonight.

This, combined with my body protesting it's own sacred cycle, and I'm going to be Dead Woman Walking by bedtime.

.....but it will be worth it.

One thing I forgot to mention the other day.

I went to see my surgeon on Thursday and decided, since Llew and I are slowly working things out, to don the collar once more before heading for my appointment.

Now, the last time I saw doc, in August, he said, and I paraphrase, "Ok, let me check out your heart. Oh," he said, looking at my collar, which has a heart locket with a keyhole at the front, "I see you've already had your heart locked up."
And he grinned wryly.

Well, this tipped me off to thinking that my surgeon is a big kink, which I find highly ironic.

So, this go 'round, we're discussing the surgery and the aftercare and he looks at the hardware 'round my neck and declares, "I don't think you're going to have any problems at all, Tracy. I can tell you're very compliant and will therefore do everything you're supposed to do in order for the surgery to be a success."

And he grinned wryly again.

It wouldn't surprise me to find out the man has a dungeon in his basement. I mean, he's the perfect type: mild-mannered, soft-spoken, unassuming ~~ the least likely candidate, dig?

Llew got a real kick out of all this.

7:47 p.m.

Well.....
Mother Ocean was breathtaking! It was cool and cloudy, and the water was ice cold. I purified and charged the pendants, so they're ready for Llew's birthday on the 16th.
At the exact time I began to call Quarters, a dolphin emerged about 100 feet out from the shore. It danced around for a while, flashing its fin as I worked, and I was amazed and humbled by its presence there at that precise time.
I'd never seen a real-life dolphin before, so this was doubly special for me.
The beach was sparsely populated and no one was in the water, except for me. My initial plan was to immerse myself completely but, as I told Aunt Tudi, I wanted to embrace the Life of Mother Ocean, not have Her kill me by way of hypothermia. I know my limitations.
After ritual, Aunt Tudi and I walked a ways up the beach to look at the light house. Now, I have this weakness for lighthouses so I was just enthralled, as I always am, in the shadow of this noble tower of illumination.

All in all, it was a fantastic and fruitful experience.

We're off to Gilligan's now for some sustenance, then back home for perhaps a movie.....Secondhand Lions perchance?

Secondhand Lions = One Damned Good Movie

It kept me awake until this ungodly hour of 2 a.m. and didn't have a lick of science fiction in it. It had to be a damned good movie for me to do that.

Yes, I'm a little narrow when it comes to my entertainment but, DAMMIT! if I'm going to be entertained, then I want to experience something entertaining. Watching any of the Star Wars movies 3 trillion times is entertaining; however, watching Steel Magnolias just once is proof that satan isn't only living, but thriving in this hell on earth. Why would I want to subject myself? And don't even get me started on romantic comedies. In fact, the whole chick flick industry can kiss my liberated ass.

Tomorrow, we're setting out for home around 1 or so, methinks. I need to get nested and ready for work on Monday. I also need some time to update Ye Olde Annals of Kinkdom. There's much to be said there.

I sleep now.

1:21 p.m.

'Tis almost time to hit the road for home. It's been a mostly enjoyable weekend. There was only one bad patch where the Paternal Unit got all up in my business about driving. He's always done that: told me how to drive and advised me on the most elementary of road rules like I was some sort of drooling fool. I balked severely and he backed off. Other than that, it was pretty groovy, but I'll be glad to get back home because I'm such a hermit.

When I reach the abode, I need to call Felice and check up with her and I also need to catch up on the log of my "other life" as 't'were. heh

There's so much to say.

My body craves slumber, so an early eve is in order I do believe. When the Moon is upon me, I tend to get shaky with weariness. It's a pain in the neck sometimes but, when I *do* get to rest, the sleep is out of this world!

OK, we're off! Kisses and hugs to the Paternal Unit, smoochies to the pervo bird, and gentle pats to the Gateway Kittie. Au Revoir!

8 p.m.

Aye, so now I'm home and have been home since around 5:30. I'm so bone weary I could cry, but I'm too tired, so I'm doing the online thing instead. Stargate SG-1 is on TV and I'm in my woolly gown all warm and cosy...and I just got a delightful letter from Llew....so, really, I am a happy soul.

Ye Olde Annals of Kinkdom will have to wait until tomorrow, I fear. Too tired for much else but this big honkin' post. For now, I think I'll just nestle down for the evening and vibrate with contentment, like a cat. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................

Jees, Girl, you are so talented (not unlike myself...lol). You and I should get together and collaborate on a book or something. (Oh, btw, I just bought my copy of "The Mothman Prophecies" ... I know how you love that film.....I love it too, and Richard dont look too bad either, eh? Is this film based on a book or something? What exactly IS the "mothman" supposed to be? death?)

Hey thanks for the compliment. :)

I've never seen The Mothmen Prophecies, though...not yet. I want to! From what I know about the Mothmen, they're big beasties with moth wings and big red eyes that chill at the 7-11 in various parts of West Virginia.

thats the story....they are supposed to be the predecessor to death, as per this movie. The people (person) who is about to die, see this moth-like creature, then they get really sick, their eyes start to bleed, then they die.
