Woke up this Morning....

When all else fails, turn to the Blues.

In short:

1. Dawn of the Dead kicked major ass. I'm still fairly horrified and enjoying every minute of it.


2. I'm in the home stretch of this medical race I began last February. I'm numb and a little wary of being put to sleep. As I am the Queen of Understatement when it comes to situations like this, translate as you will.


3. Llew and Aunt Tudi are being my biggest cheerleaders and greatest fans. If I pull through, it's all because of them.


4. I got pep talks from various family members yesterday, ranging from endless ramblings that ripped my last nerve to New Age Fluffy Bunny treatises that really helped bring out my Inner Sith. I now know I must survive the surgery so I can go kick some New Age Fluffy Bunny arse.


5. I had to take the laxative from hell yesterday for my bowel prep. Not to be too graphic, but does the term "human fire hydrant" effectively describe my plight?


6. I'm fucking thirsty.


7. My pal Steph will be posting in my journal later on today to inform you Internet souls whether or not I "bought the farm".
