The Cliffs of Insanity

I am officially migrating from LiveJournal to Dreamwidth. The transition is going to be difficult, but it's past time. If I'm unable to transfer all the massive contents of The Cliffs of Insanity here, I'm going to leave it up in an archive capacity, but I will no longer be posting there, except for the occasional Twitter update, until I discontinue that as well. The Cliffs will have turned 15 years old in June, and I was thinking of making the transition at that time, but I have much to write about and many events to account, so the change must be made sooner rather than later.

Hello! Former emerald_ibis and Wendy K. from book of faces. "Casey" is a nom de plume that I'm using for a fanzine that I write for.

It took about two days for my journal to import from LJ to DW, so do not lose hope!

HOLA! Yeah, I figured it would take about a year to import, so I'm keeping a separate window open just to be sure I don't close out hours of progress, so far! So good to see you again. ::supermegahugs::

As long as you started the import WHILE being a paid account, it should catch All The Things. :)

I did mine as a free account. The only thing it didn't transfer was my icons, which didn't take toooo g to manually save.

::supermegahugsback:: maybe this willl be a good thing. I am making a strong effort to return to long form blogging / journaling. The brain space was a lot healthier when I did that on a regular basis.

I won't ever delete mine. I found too many folks I relate to on a soul deep level over here. It's filled with nostalgia and life. I am in the process of saving all my Scrapbook photos manually as well as all my icons. It's slow and boring shit. Feh.

I won't delete mine either. My biggest concern was losing posts, especially the ones about Aunt Tudi. I'm much more at ease, now that the journal has successfully imported.
