Blustery Business

tinhuvielSo here I am in The Pit. Even though I don't want to be here, I have a fledgling migraine, and I desire copious amounts of sleep, I am present and accounted for. Today, Gunter Thielen, the "BIG GUY," is visiting our facility. He's the Uberking over all Bertelsmann and he's coming to Duncan today to cast his gaze upon this portion of his empire.
On Friday the Feudal Mistress made a snide comment about what I was going to wear in "honour" of the "BIG GUY's" visit, saying that I'd probably wear a tee-shirt that said "Germans suck" or something equally as disrespectful. I retorted that I should wear a sandwich board that said Please give me a raise. Well, I'm wearing neither the sandwich board nor the irreverent tee. Instead, I'm wearing my black skirt and black peasant blouse with my clunky shoes. Oddly, the outfit that fit me last month is a bit baggy now, but not so noticeably so....yet. Either way, I'm not going out at lunch because of the hurricane that's moving over us as I write this. If I got rained on in this outfit, I'd look like a wet trash bag. That said, I'm keeping my fancy ass indoors until it's time to escape this prison and dash home.
If I could have, I would have stayed home anyway. It's perfect sleeping weather. After suffering through yet another warm and sunny weekend, this lovely weather coming the day I have to come back to The Pit is nothing short of a divine kick in the teeth.
I hope Gunter Thielen is happy with himself. He should give me a bonus not only for showing up, but for going all girly just for him. The real kicker is that he probably won't even come to our department because we just aren't bloody important enough for him to turn his regal gaze our way. Well, all I can say is, a pox on his house! fptptptptptppttptbtbbttt!
