Yesterday, one of my fellow serfs went to unload the fax machine and commented that the drum for the machine was empty. I didn't think anything about it until this morning, when I unloaded the machine only to find that she hadn't replaced the drum. Miraculously, it always falls to me to replace the drum and toner for the fax machine, just like it falls to me to switch over the old files from the cabinets to storage boxes. Why?

WHY?

Because I do the job when it needs doing.

It just pisses me off that people who take responsibility aren't rewarded with more money or recognition; rather, we're graced with.....more responsibility. What slays me is that, if I stopped doing these things around the office, I'd be reprimanded.

I know of what you speak.
That's probably the main reason why I changed jobs.
