I talked with him about an hour ago. We're planning on getting together after the holidays so he can play me some mandolin and loan me "The DaVinci Code." I'm also gonna show him the 4-track recorder as he seems to be quite interested in acquiring it.

What amazes me is that, after months of not talking to each other, we got on the phone and acted like we'd chatted just yesterday. Time just doesn't pass for us, it seems.

The Da Vinci code is bad. Just don't bother. It's just so badly written. I saw practically everyone on the train reading it so I thought I might pick it up, and I did. But I regretted it!

I've heard that it was awful and wonderful. If I regret reading it, I'll run to you for comfort. Deal?

blech, it's SO bad. There are some cool aspects to it. It might be mind-expanding to somebody who had never heard of the concept of the divine feminine or the idea of Christianity trying to cover up said divine feminine. But to me it was like a really big, badly written, DUH!

Felicity has insisted I **absolutely must** read it. She was rather cryptic about it, said it definitely wasn't because of the writing. I thought maybe she was staggered that the content was in bestselling pop culture -- but if it's only what irenes says, then I have to say: "Mists of Avalon". Oh well, I guess we shall both find out soon!
