1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
I went to California

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I had one resolution and I kept it. I won't be making any this year, I don't think.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
I was getting close to the Grandmother Unit, or at least I thought so.

5. What countries did you visit?
California, which is technically not part of Dumbfuckistan.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
More money

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
22 March because that's when I had my gastric bypass surgery.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Losing over 100 pounds.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Still being in debt.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had bronchitis in February.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My laptop.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Aunt Tudi, after having to endure the ultimate passive-aggressive attack under extreme circumstances. I was quite proud of her, even though she finally snapped under the pressure, but only briefly.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
The crazy aunt's. When she began scavenging the Grandmother Unit's wardrobe before the GU had even perished, I was pretty much certain that I needed to distance myself from her.

14. Where did most of your money go?
To travel and protein supplements.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My weightloss.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow by Mitch & Mickey

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Research into getting an education.

Spending money I didn't have on people who didn't need it.

At home, hopefully watching LoTR extended edition with Aunt Tudi and Llew.

No, I just continued loving Llew.

None.

Boston Legal.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.

"Portrait of a Killer" by Patricia Cromwell, but I don't agree with her conclusions.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Audioslave

28. What did you want and get?
Gastric Bypass surgery.

Spiderman 2

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 37 and I went out to dinner with the Grandmother Unit, Mother Unit, Aunt Tudi, and crazy aunt in Hell Diego.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
To be totally out of debt and have anyone other than Dubya in the White House.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Baggy.

34. What kept you sane?
Sleep and my journal.

Alfred Molina

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The fucked-up election.

37. Who did you miss?
Todd and Timothy.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I didn't meet any new people.

All work and no play make Jack (and Tin) a dull boy.
