For two million, three hundred thousand years, the nation of Sechlourendal sailed with Thranodi and Konot'incalime. For a million more did the celestial ship sail alone. And the people of Sechlourendal began to count time, eager for the day they would reach Eterah. And they called themselves Sechlourendali Tarma - the Hopeful People of Sechlourendal, for they all hoped to reach Eterah with every passing moment.

Kessilon became dear to the Tarmi, for She was the embodiment of hope. And indeed did Kessilon travel with Sechlourendal, wrapped about the ship, slowing guiding it to Eterah.

Upon the great day of joy, Rhynnil, was was near the end of his years, beheld a splendourous yellow-gold star, and he knew that Eterah was near. Throughout the nation did he send the message: "Eterah!"

Three days did they prepare for their landing. They dressed themselves in a starry raiment, not unlike their former Deaghydhen bodies. And they poured libations of water from their homeworld to the golden sun that embodied Htanna. And so it was that Sechlourendal finally settled in a large meadow on Eterah. And it was twilight with Mnemiva's moon peeking out from the East and Htanna's sun lying down in the West, and the witness of the newborn stars above.

The Tarmian hosts fell upon their knees and kissed the ground and cried, for they were enamoured of Eterah. And Rhynnil was overcome with joy and love, and he began to spin. As he spun, Rhynnil's body gave way to the air and he faded before the eyes of his people. He passed on into the world of Vaadel, who gave Rhynnil his heart's desire: to be one with Eterah.

So Rhynnil became the first guardian of Eterah, called an Aern. He was a spirit who dwelt in the zephyrs that rustled the leaves and the howling winds of the mountains. And he could whisper in the Tarmi's ears and they knew that he was with them.

Rhynnil's daughter, Pretani Land-dancer, was chosen to lead the nation. Her first task was to bless the Tarmi to their new home. So she gathered the hosts together in the Great Meadow, and she stood upon a huge stone above them all, her raven hair flowing behind her like a shimmering shadow. Pretani held out her hands and touched the Tarmian consciousness. All was silent about them, save for the birds, when suddenly from all around a blinding brightness sprang forth and entered Pretani. She opened her eyes and, within them, shone the blue light of Pretani.

"I am the Mother Earth, Meneterah, the spirit of life and death," Pretani said. "I shall bless you children of the Star Realm with a gift." And the blue light emitted form Pretani's eyes and splintered to reach each Tarma.

"This is Dol'man, the Crafting of Eterah, like yet unlike Partira. You shall be as the Deaghydhe, with working and the gaining of the wisdom of Eterah. Hld the Andera in your hearts always, and know that I will be with you and your descendants in many forms, always."

The channelling complete, the Tarmi fell to the ground from the the power that surged through them, but they saw now with an insight and swore to always be the protectors of the beauty of Eterah and to wisely use her gift. The living spirit in Eterah they named Thla'khaya'rhuh and they rejoiced in her presence.

The creatures that ruled the planet in those days were called by the Tarmi, the Dhrynh, or the giants. These Dhrynh were cruel beasts, trodding upon the Tarmi and eating them alive. But not all Dhrynh were so menacing. One race of the Dhrynh, the Dhraiccynna (Noble Ones), were intelligent and could speak and make magick, having been given the Dol'man as well. They also had wings, unlike most other Dhrynh, and helped the Tarmi move to other regions and eventually all over the world.

The leader of the Dhraiccynna, Artruinis, pledged his fealty to Pretani Land-dancer, and forever was Tarma and Dhraiccynn bound.

Five great Tarmian centers there were.

Khemeth was the first to rise up, and it was the nucleus of Eastern Tarmian culture, the jewel of the desert.

Thessalonika was the Southern Tarmian center, and home to those Tarmi who first made contact with humankind.

Omanola was the Northern Sovereignty of the Tarmi. Omanolans were as white as the snow, their eyes as grey as stone.

El'Tour'Adho was the Western City in which the Tarmi lived in spiritual and Earthly wealth. And, when the humans came, the El'Tour'Adhoans became thir teachers and their spiritual guides.

Then there was the ever-present, yet invisible, island of Meybhelan. All Tarmi knew that faith brought the Holy Isle to your doorstep but, if you doubted, you would be lost at sea, forever searching. The Meybhelanians were the keepers of the Tarmian Way. They were the teachers, the historians, the poets. And they were almost immortal. Here is where Queen Pretani dwelt until she ascended.

more to come someday...

I'll reserve commment on the story until it makes more sense to my tired brainmeats. :)

Why thanks. That's my current incarnation. I've finally reached a point where I'm not horrified to have my picture taken, so this is quite encouraging, especially coming from you!
