I just got in from going on a spontaneous movie-viewing campaign with Johnna and Aunt Tudi. We went to see The Pacifier....a family movie....yes, The Pacifier. This simply proves that I will watch anything with Vin Diesel in it. It was pretty good for a family film and the shower scene didn't hurt one damned bit. Wheeee!

Afterward, we dropped into IHOP for some coffee. Unlike the goils, I did not imbibe in the bodacious brew because I don't want to spend what's left of the night hours bouncing off the walls like a rubber pinball from hell. I'd much rather rapidly fall unconscious.

It is now time to go to bed. No, it's past time to go to bed. In the olden golden days, when I was in my teens and twenties, I could stay up for hours on end and never feel tired, never suffer from sleep deprivation. Now, to quote Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon 4, "I'm gettin' too old for this shit."

Was the scene with him telling the little girl about the elves doing combat tactics as cute as it looked? I'm looking forward to it too. I mean, he plays AD&D, and he's telling a story about elves...MUST SEE!

That was a very funny scene. He's really good at comedy and those touching moments. My Inner Sith demands that I prefer him as Richard B. Riddick, though.

REALLY??? The Pacifier was OK??? I too am willing to see anything with Vin Diesel in it, but I was afear'd I'd end up chewing my leg off to escape all the cutesy kid scenes...

It was actually pretty good for a family film. The kids aren't that cutesy really, so I could bear it quite well. And Vin...VIN...need I say more?

I honestly thought this movie was a made up joke when I first heard about it.

I did too, actually, then I was horrified to discover that it was not a joke. Then I succumbed to the rabid fan girl inside me and went to see the movie. The power of Vin compelled me.

Horrified doesn't begin to describe it. I don't think there;s a force on earth that'd make me see it.
