Both came to me very sick and on the edge of death. Both are now healthy as horses and the very best of friends.

Smidge and Shmoop in all their healthy glory.

Aloysius is still doing fabulously, as is Biafra, although I don't see much of Biafra. She comes to eat, but often when no one else is around. She's feral and will always be so. It saddens me.

As for Iggy, she will have her stitches removed on Monday. Her ferality also seems irreversible. It seems that, since she's no longer in heat, I have nothing to offer her. She growls and warns me off every time I come near her. Honestly, I think she'll be happier back outdoors. [livejournal.com profile] dr_nebula, I am so sorry! I've tried my best, but I really don't think it would work out. Neither she nor you would be happy in Iggy's current state of mind.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle trying to save all the cats but, when I look into the faces of Smidgen and Shmoop, I feel better and move along in the quest. I just need to keep it all in perspective and know that I can't save everyone, but I can at least make everyone's life a little easier, if it's ony by putting out some food each day.

::firm nods::

You know, you're doing something that I would love to do...If I were on my own, with the room and income to have cats like that...and of course if I weren't allergic to cats -.- It's like a terribly crule trick of fate that the animals I love most...I am terribly allergic to...*sigh* Such is life.

Oh my, SUCH cuties they are, aren't they??? *squees and glees at the cuteness* makes me wanna go out and get a kitten or 2 from the SPCA. There isnt much holding me back, except that my huge Mikeycat is the ALPHA of the house (with a capital A) and I think he'd probably terrorize and/or beat up a new addition with no remorse. someday I want a kitten though. Shmoop is the CUTEST damn thing!!!! give them lots of hugs and kisses for me ;)

They are such cuties! Shmoop looks very switched on, looking at the flashy light curiously. And while you can't save each kitty, you are most *definately* doing much more for them than many would. Iggy is healthy, and won't contribute to the kitten population. She will be a happy lady. That is plenty to be proud of.

Thank you Mommy

They look like they're posing, speaking directly to you: "Thank you Mommy."

Whoa. You got pictures of Shmoop awake!

...although, it looks like the little one is planning on launching a counter-attack in the second picture.

Kitty love! They look great, kitty-mama. You have a special seat in cat heaven for all the love you give these bits of fluff.

the cats will always remember you and Aunt Tudi, and know in their minds and hearts that if they are ever hurt or hungry or in need you are there for them.
take pleasure in knowing that.
you do good Tin!

Well, if her stitches are still in, she may in a little pain and blaming Tin. I had a female go surly for a while after she was done (of course, that one was never really friendly). I wonder what she'll be like by next weekend.
