Jun. 10th, 2009 01:53 amI've had an influx of new friends to come dangle off the Cliffs of Insanity with me. Here's where I tell you a tad about me and ask that you introduce yourself, if'n you're so inclined.
Howdy, I'm Tinhuviel Artanis. That's my Craft name and Tinhuviel is the name I also use for everything Internet-related. The only other name I use is Darth Shriek, for fanfiction purposes. I'm a writer. I have written one book and am working on its sequel, which is the middle of a trilogy of stories collectively called The Vampire Relics. I also write fanfiction, but not prolifically. My first sojourn into fanfic was with the Darth Maul Estrogen Brigade. knivesandlint, Rancid Rainbow and, of course, here ('cos I post everything here). I was rather fond of J from the moment he asked "Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moonlight?" My answer was yes then and it is now. He's fun to write.
I have many original characters that I write and who inhabit me, the most important and disturbing one being Cadmus Pariah. You'll see him discussed a lot here. He's not fun to write. He's my evil demon child who forces me to write terrible things. Other people think he's fun. They're crazy. So am I.
I live in South Carolina, but am a native of North Carolina. There's a big difference between the two states, trust me on this. I refer to this place as the Armpit of Hell. 'Nuff said.
I am a rabid Shriekback fan. So much so, I ended up befriending the leader and pretty much the soul of the band. By accident. His name is Barry Andrews and he's absolutely amazing and he scares me quite silly. I'm not lying. It seems that he's keen on relaunching BarryAndrews.net, so I'll be working on that very soon. Barry Andrews is the main inspiration for Cadmus Pariah. He knows about his psychic Vampire child and he seems to think Cadmus is spiffy. I considered starting to wear Depends when he uttered the name of Cadmus Pariah to me on the phone with that voice and that accent. I tossed my unmentionables that night, lemme tell you.
I am 41. I have a Vampire fetish that dates back to 1979. Thirty years of Vampiric dreams and delight. I am a Psychic Vampire. I am a Witch, having been active in the Craft since 1992. I am a Sith. Strange shit happens to me because I tend to invite it.
I take up Causes. My constant Cause is the Web proliferation of All Things Shriek. I've been doing this for a decade. My current Cause is The Joker Blogs Dude aka Blog Boy (thanks,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
falkenna) aka Norvus Cobblepot (everybody has to have a name, or at least a designation!). He will someday rule the world. You've been warned.
