Years ago I bought a "Starlog" magazine because I wanted to read the Dr. Who article enclosed. It was issue #79, with Jeanette Goldstein on the front. Over the years, I would check the back issue availability and began to notice that this issue was climbing steadily in price. The last time I was able to find it in the back issue section, it was up to $175.00. Now, it's no longer available from Starlog and I'm wondering how that now affects the value of the magazine I have, which is in almost perfect condition...

Just for the record...I have not seen one bloody episode of "Friends"...NOT ONE! And I'm very smug and self-satisfied about that fact.
This whole "Friends" frenzy that's currently going on in the US is more than a little disgusting, considering all the more important issues at hand, like the fact that no one wants to be our friend anymore for a number of valid reasons, the worst of which is our idiot dictator.

May. 6th, 2004 04:36 pmBack at Saturn. A common 3000-mile service just turned into the Service from Hell since I'm at 18k on the ION. I have to have my breaks done and my tires rotated in addition to the regular maintenance, so a $19 visit suddenly has turned into a $125 visit.
OY VEY! Now that's something I hadn't planned on. Oh well, such is life.
I'll also be here about an hour longer than expected and that's just great since I have to take Aunt Tudi to Wal-Mart after I leave here and all I want to do is lie down and moan until I perish.
The receptionist just came 'round to ask everyone if they wanted something to drink. They're so nice here at Saturn. It's good to be a cult member, I swear to god. MadTV even did a skit about the Saturn Family. Funny it was, no doubt.
I heard from BB earlier today. She sounds exactly the same. We're looking at getting together in the next couple of weeks. Speaking of getting together, I need to contact Gail and see what her schedule looks like too. I've lost touch with so many people, it's not even funny.
Ohhh, I also heard from the Celtic Warrior. Here's hoping we can connect in the very near future too. w00t!

I need to write Scuzball and tell him what's going on in my world. Lately, though, I've had 0 motivation to write any substantial e-mails. Since I was the one who initiated communication, I guess I should bite the bullet and just do it.
There are some chicks nearby talking diets. Even if I get down to Ally McBeal size (Goddess forbid), I don't think I'll ever stop feeling discomfort when in earshot of such a conversation. Ugh.
All of Paisley's tests came back negative. This cat is healthy and apparently just had a bout with Uber-Nausea. She will live forever, just like Eddie Izzard's Queen Mother. Stomping about and clawing the dogs keeps her in fine fettle and she will eat mine and Aunt Tudi's eyeballs when we die of old age. I know this to be a Great Truth.
This evening, after Wally World, I'm going to see Llew. It's not too many days before he flies to Ohio, so I'd like to spend a wee bit with him...just in case. He wishes I could go with him and I wish he could go with me in July, but it is not to be. We're aiming for October as our mutual vacation time. Hopefully this October will be more successful than the last one. ::crosses fingers::
I'm bored and must go find more dirty laundry on Dubya. It won't take much digging to locate that, since he's a such an evil critter. What fun!
