tinhuviel: (Mr. Tiscic)
I made a new icon last night of my favourite KITH doing one of my favourite KITH characters. My favourite is Mississippi Gary, but I can't seem to find a picture of Mark McKinney in his Gary garb, so I'm settling for Mr. Tiscic here. Besides, Mr. Tiscic better fits my view of humanity, so I'm rather pleased with the new icon.

I would never have thought about it had [livejournal.com profile] velvetsteel not threatened a mighty headcrushing upon the cable barons yesterday.

This morning, I barely crawled out of bed. All night I sleep lightly and restlessly but, when 5 a.m. hits, I get thrown into a deep sleep. Since I have to get up by 6 a.m., this tends to dick around with my body clock, my mood, and the majority of my day. Maybe I need Ambien or something.

It's supposed to be a rainy and stormy day today. This thrills me. These warm, Spring-like days have done nothing but piss me off. Winter is supposed to be perpetually grey, cold, and misty. If I'm robbed of Winter this year, I promise to be permanently irate. Anyway, a cold front is moving in which means we may be in store for some mighty storms and possibly even tornadoes. I'm a sucker for extreme weather so, while everyone else is quaking at the tempest, I'll be eager to get out in it and dance about between lightning strikes.

I'm thinking of posting a poll on what avenue of study I should take once I'm gainfully unemployed. Currently, I'm looking at three possibilities, but am thoroughly unsure as to which I should faithfully commit.

Speaking of faithful commitment, I'm meeting with Llew on Friday. We have much to discuss. Nothing is certain.

Since I didn't get to see Chronicles of Riddick last night, I'll be trolling for more Vin pics to link later on today. I'm a hopeless fan girl wench with absolutely no life. What's so pathetic is that I'd molest Vin, but marry Weird Al Yankovic. I see euthanasia in my future, and deservedly so.

Okay, I really need input here, so please vote or suffer my infernal wrath.

I particularly like how it's mentioned that Finn "is so beautiful you'll be tongue-tied."

Like father, like son.

I can't believe they got the info on Barry wrong though. Drummer, may arse! And why must everyone always harp on just XTC. He has quite an admirable musical history post-XTC, thankyouverrahmuch.

There are some very dramatic clouds hovering in the sky at the mo. Perfect weather for the new music I recently acquired on the downlow. Oo. And the wind is picking up. It's supposed to be windier than Smidgen's boo-tay tonight....but not nearly as odiferous.

Work has petered out. I've finished the "Win It Before You Can Buy It" projects for Kenny Chesney and Blaine Larsen. I've also gotten all the Country prepacks out to the POP warehouse. All that's left is the Tracy Byrd "Win-Its," but I can't do those until closer to time. Arrival time for those is 2/3, so I'm sittin here just looking at the paperwork and Willing an earlier date so I can get the shite off my desk.

Let's see what's in the New Release catalog for February 22.

  • The Chieftains "Live from Dublin" (how many Live from Dublin albums are these geezers gonna make?)

  • Some Clannad reissues ~ "Anam" "Banba" "Lore" and "Landmarks" (I gots to get me some of that)

  • Kings of Leon "Aha Shake Heartbreak" (I've done a lot of promo projects for this one...it might be worth checking out)

  • Morrissey "Who Put the 'M' in Manchester?" (Ah, Morrissey. The lad is showing his age)

  • George Thorogood and the Destroyers "Then and Now" (oh hell yeah!)

  • Kathy Troccoli "Draw Me Close" (pretty decent contemporary Christian singer)

  • Various "Best of Trance Volume 5" (I wonder if B would want a copy of this?)

  • Widespread Panic "Live at Myrtle Beach" (I just can't see WP in South Carolina....)

Meh.
A pretty thin catalog and the logo on the front is still just BMG with that ugly red triangle. I wonder when it will change over to the new Sony/BMG sigil...and yes, it is a sigil because the new regime is an evil empire. Then again, the music business is, as a rule, a Great Evil. Sauron is behind it, I know. He saw all the circular items being made and how they affected people when played on their obviously infernal machines, and deemed them to be rings to rule us all, thus taking over the operation and bending society to his wicked Will ever since.

Jeez, I just got 5 phone calls and 4 emails in the course of about 7 minutes. Now, I have more work.
