Sally? Linus? Star Wars?

There's a dude here in The Pit whose name is Babu. Isn't that what Sally always called Linus? Her sweet Babu? Every time I see Babu, I want to say "Hello, my sweet Babu!" And he doesn't know me from adam, so he'd probably get really fearful that I was coming on to him.

I've finished cleaning off the rest of my desk and came across something that really took me back.





Man, those were the days. I saw that movie 15 times. How sad is that?

Pretty sad. I LOVED Episode I, primarily because I had read the Terry Brooks book beforehand. I fell in love with Anakin in that book, and when I saw the movie, it just made it worse. He looked like he could be my daughter's older brother. Pseudo-filial-Ophiliac mess. lol

I saw POTC about that many times. When it came out, my office was directly across the street from a movie theater downtown. My girlfriend and I would sneak out in late afternoon sometimes, to hide in the coolness of the theater and bask in the wonder of the ocean.

And I think you should look up Babu tomorrow. And say it, just for the sake of saying it.

I couldn't get into EP2 at all. I've only seen it twice, the second time on DVD, and I ended up falling asleep. ...and don't get me started on "Revenge of the Sith." ::tears up::

I haven't seen either yet. Much to my chagrin. Its hard for me to be a geek alone. I HATE going to movies alone, so I've missed some as a result.

It's odd to be nostalgic since in relative terms it wasn't that long ago, but if you think about it, when I saw that movie (several times with you) 1) I still worked in the Pit and 2) I wasn't thirty yet. So I guess it has been a while.
